Help! i TOTALLY messed up and wasnt thinking. Ok so here is the story, i bought my BSR wheel and tires off a friend that raced go karts. Now i didnt know that the specific wheels that i bought would only use hubs made for a 40 mm axle. So now i had a spacer made to fit over my 1 in. axle and then my hub slide onto that. With out thinking i welded on the spacers and realized that i would need to put on a 1.in hub for my sprocket!!! Now does anybody have any idea of what i can do?? i know i can cut the welds but i was wondering if any company made 2 peice hubs? Cause i know there is 2 peice sprockets..... Thanks and any help would be appreciated!

Those spacers look pretty cool I might have made them longer so that you can adjust your track width out farther. don't forget a key way in your spacer/sleeves
To fix your problem cut the axle in half and weld in a spacer /sleeve, 3"-4" should be fine.

NOTE: only weld after you have added your brake hub and gear hub.

Xtman,

I have a future suggestion for you...

On all axles you can place lock collars to prevent the movement of hubs, etc.

Instead of welding a spacer you could also use a lock collar to position the rear wheel hub or even better yet, the hubs you have when tightened down are not supposed to move anyways and you would not need a spacer or lock collar.

I do not use any spacers or lock collars on my rear hubs and I can ride on the side wheels, pull wheelies etc and all is good. I can still put lock collars on if needed.

Hope that helped...
