I have not posted here in a while, but now I have an engine coming and some 1 x 1 x 1/8 square laying around. I got a snowmobile twin cyl two stroke Kawi 340cc engine on ebay. I also got plans a long time ago on e-bay along with mini chopper ones. Does anybody here belong to Solution Design. I have their plans. They are in my mind just O.K. I think I can build something from the plans. Has anyone built a BSR from these plans. I am now really ready to start building. Also has anyone done a belt drive (ala snowmobile). If not I think I might have some machining to do.
Thanks.

TJS,

I am not trying to start a bashing thread on Solution Designs Plans. But most of the people you ask will tell you they have some fancy drawings, but lack a lot of important information and details.

We offer two sets of plans on BarstoolRacerSupply.com (http://barstoolracersupply.com)which will walk you through the build every step of the way and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Goto the link below to see the plans we offer:
http://barstoolracersupply.com/store/index.php?cPath=22&osCsid=65dbac453a56668b10a87eed0d8240c9

We also have a website that explains in more detail about the plans and has actual thumbnail photos of all 62 pages. That website is BarFlyRacerPlans.com (http://barflyracerplans.com).

Hope that helps you out.

Ya Mike.
I did not want to bash that company as well in case anyone here belongs to them here. The plans do lack detail. I think I can get away with these as a base starting point. I think I will change it around anyway with the size of the motor I have. I kinda have a change in plans anyway. I want to build a wagon like stud monkey did. I already started my own drawings. I am going to have to put the engine in the back cause of the size. Looks like I will need to fabricate some wheelie bars for this as well. I do however think that Sol. design does have a decent mini -chopper plans. They are detailed down to the triple tree machining.
Thanks.

TJS,

At least miter cut your corners so they are clean. SD does not do that.

I wonder why SD skimped on the BSR plans when they did such a good job on the mini chopper plans.

Anyways, good luck and if you need some help just ask..
