hey penland,how ya goin,welcome.
with my stool,i scrounged some tyres off the local kart track, sat them on the floor in the shed, sat the motor in the middle, sat the stool on top, grabed a set of handle bars, sat down on it,then when i liked how everything sat i drew a chalk chassis plan on the floor and built it to that.
i went the expensive way with new kart parts, but have since decided to get an old rolling chassis off the net for components next time.

Looks like a diff in the middle, sprocket and brake disc... Good find. The only thing I would be concerned about is the splines on the end. Might make it hard to find a cheap set of hubs to hold a small kart tire.... Also what is the diameter of that axle?

the axle's diameter is1in i think. i also think i can get some wheels at northern tools but not sure yet. and the axle doesnt not have a differential i do not believe. its just the mounting piece. today im off to look for steering anyone got any ideas on what to find it on.(maybe go kart, golf cart* maybe not sure)

try surpluscenter.com for wheels and tires. They have an odd selection, but they do occaisionally have stuff we can use. And order the catalog. Its good to have around.

well today i got a lot done..kinda.:blob_red: i bought all 4 hubs, 4 tires, 4 inter
tubes, engine mount (because it was cheaper than making), bar stool,
spindels, steering, hydo. brakes, and 2 rims...(they didnt have 4..), and
finally bought the engine last night(6.5h clone).

today i cut the square frame for the stool. and to fix the hub problem i
bought so hubs and welded them on to my warrior axle...without the disc
brake... so then had to grind the weld off and tomorrow we're going to
weld it back with disc on. :hammer: so far kinda productive but its starting to
come together:thumb: .

ps hope to have pics up soon
