i am bulding a bsr 5.5 hp on a 3/4 pipe frame back tire is 36 wide the front tire are 20 wide frame is about 30 long and seat heigh is 24 what will be the best size of sprocket and tooth to use

If you're going to run a clutch, get a 54T - 60T. If a TAV you can use a 40T to 54T.
I would highly recommend the TAV over a standard clutch if it is in your budget. You will be much happier.

what about the sprocket size on the axle and how does a torq-a-verter work

I totaly agree with mike the tav is a mouch better choice! it works on teh same principal as a cvt(continualy variable transmission) so you have good pwoer through out the powerband of your motor. the clutches are good if ou buy a racing clucth but the el-chepo clutches tend to be a pain in the but the one I used locked up within the first hour of use and caused an acciden and my bsr had a crash and screwd up all of he sterring compnets so if your budget allows buy the tav!

Also most tav come with a 10t drive sprocket so a 40t-54t sprocket on the axle will be fine!
