motor help

I was wondering if anyone has a picture of a modified starter motor. The plans on barstoolracer.net are not very clear. I have sevral Bosch gear reduction starters, but they dont look like the pictures in the plans. I am a new teacher teaching manufacturing and would like to make 3 or 4 barstool racers in my class so they have to be made as cheap as possible.
Any pictures or advice will be appreciated.
