Here are a few pics of some karts I've built, or been working on building. The long one was an older Coyote kart that I lengthened, and put a Honda 600 on from a Mini Sprint. It is crazy fast!! Taking it out again this Friday so I hope to have more pics. The wagon I built a couple years ago. The wagon has a 7hp Tec on it with a Tilly gas carb, no governor, and some HP Springs. The pull start broke, and I still can't figure out how to get it off so I can put on another rope. The last one is a '41 Anglia Ride On that I still need to finish. It will be more of an old Gasser Kart. I've got another 7hp Tec for that one as well.

InsaneSpeed,
That fun kart looks like alot of fun! Damn, that's a huge motor on there. I like the Radio Flyer too. Do you have any pics of the build process on it? I'd appreciate it if you could post more. Thanks

Here are some pics we took a couple weeks ago. We did make 1 high speed run to approx. 128mph. The kart was very squirmish, and we destroyed the chain tensioner, so we decided not to do that anymore. The ditch pic was of a friend here at work. All the marks were in front of his house. You will have to forgive the picture quality. I'm not to up to date on using Photochop to resize pictures.

I don't beleive so. These are really the first pictures I have had on the internet. I was able to find another kart similar to mine, or I guess mine is similar to his as I believe he built his first.

I actually did think of cutting the center out of the frame, and putting a stool on it. I turned away due the the speed I knew I would be forced to run, and I have 5 children at home that I need me to come home!
Here is the site for the other kart. It seems it has been updated since my last visit. They have videos!!!!

Insanespeed,

Just from looking at your crazy kart, I think I am going to have to relive a childhood build I did when I was 16.

I bought a gokat frame at a garage sale for $25. I then took a one cylinder snowmobile engine and the drive system with the big belt and put them on the frame.

All I can remember is the insane power this kart had and just going in circles when hitting the gas.

I think my next two adventures are going to be this.

1. Barstool racer with a one cylinder snowmobile engine and drive.
2. Gokart with a 440CC snowmobile engine and drive.

Thanks for the inspiration!
Mike

Glad to inspire!!

My original plan was to put a CR 125 on the wagon. After searching for a few days, and looking at bigger engines, I realized the 600 would be cheaper than buying the 125. Problem was, it would not fit the wagon, so I had to go the kart route. Once I get bored with this kart, I plan on putting the 600 on an overgrown Pilot similar to these:

This will take a bit o money so it will be awhile.

InsaneSpeed,

I have an idea for the 600. why don't you do something like they did on the Monster Garage episode with the semi engine when they made it into a 3 three wheel trike?

The one thing that I liked on that show was that they basically use the engine as part of the chassis if I remember correctly.

hey mike, I think that IŽd be better if you put an motorcycle engine with 6 speed than a snowmobile with the drive just like the gixxerkart,....just my .02

Elvergon,

I just worked out a deal with a guy in trade for a 125CC 4 wheeler engine with a 4 speed automatic transmission with reverse with all parts including the electronics for my next custom build towards the end of summer.

I do not know what to call it, but it is going to absolutly fly.... :hot:
