Ok, I have sometime to put into the new build which I have been working on for months now...maybe I should call it the old build...
I need to make some wheelie bars and I wanted to ask what material others were build them out of and if they can post some photos for design ideas for me?
I am looking to make mine adjustable up and down to play with. I would like the type that stick out the back and are not just wheels welded close to the frame.
Thanks in advance!

Cut off a piece of an old spring with the eye. Use the eye hole for an axle mount and put a wheel on either side of the spring. Then just bolt the other end to the frame.

I added wheelie bars to mine just after I got it painted I know better now uh. I actually obtained my wheels from my boys skate board I ran over in the driveway. Just added some flat stock played around with the positioning a little and they work nice I will get you a pic later

I was pretty proud of my design, I love the look of the 1/4th mile cars...
Pretty simple, 2 plates on the lower part on which the Wheelie bar can rotate and a top one that goes attached to the barstool.
It attaches onto another plate which has some holes that allow for adjustment....
If you want more pics you can check my thread out or IŽll post em...
it was 3/8 solid round bar and 1/4 for the triangulations...
