I'm new to BSR building, I have the frame and a Raptor motor , tires wheels and and most of the stuff to start my build. My question is, I am considering a TAV2 for my drive line, do I have to install a jackshaft along with the TAV or does the TAV come with the drive sprocket to the rear axle? Thanks

Hey wyldhog, Welcome to this great web site!!! It's great to have new guy's to exchange ideas with. The TAV2 is the only way to go. It is pretty much self contained and does have the sprocket that links to the rear axle. I just purchased 4 pickup loads of go kart parts and tires and today I had some time to go through them some more. I have a TAV 2 that is almost new, I was told tonight that it was on a kids fun kart and was run about 2 miles...It is mounted on a Honda Clone 6.5. These things are pretty universal...will fit most small engines...I will take$135.00+$12 shipping...Let me know asap if you are interested , I will be putting it on ebay in a day or two.....Snakester

Hey Snakester,
Is it a #35 or #41 chain? Is it for a 3/4"shaft? If you don't mind how about sending the length from end to end I want to do some measurements to make sure it will fit under my stool. Thanks for the response and it you use paypal and its a #41 chain we may make a deal....

Wyldhog, This TAV2 is #41 and fits 3/4 Shaft. You can go to the Comet Web Site and get all the specs. I have 3 exactly like this one and they all fit under a regular 15" Stool. Yes I do take PayPal! Let me know if you need any other Info......Snakester

Snakester,

Thanks for the info, I am looking at one right now on ebay......If it doesn't work out I'll let you know. I have to do some measuring anyway to make sure it will fit and I'm not to that stage. Thanks.....
